Pflugerville Public Library
Storytime Room

Event Details

Learn the basics of playing the ukulele, including tuning, strumming, and 3 basic chords. This informal class for beginners ages 8-11 will be taught by youth services librarian Amanda Cawthon (who is not an expert by any means, but enjoys playing very much).

Participants must have a ukulele and a functioning ukulele tuner. Some ukuleles are very inexpensively made or sold as toys, and will not work for this class. If you are unsure if your child's ukulele is suitable for this class, please email amandac@pflugervilletx.gov.

Registration is required and begins June 1 at 10 am.

This program is for brand new ukulele players. If your child has already taken ukulele lessons at the library or elsewhere, please do not register them. Space is very limited. Please confirm that your child can attend all four classes before registering:
Tues. June 25, Wed. June 26, Thurs. June 27, Fri. June 28.
