Passed by Congress June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920, the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote. Join the League of Women Voters of the Austin Area in a presentation of "The History of Exclusion in the Women's Suffrage Movement". The presentation will highlight the movement's most popular and revered leaders in the United States and their stances on the suffrage of African-American women and men. There will also be critical analysis on how the past of the Suffrage Movement casts a shadow on present efforts to include a wider spectrum of our community.

Registration is required and can be done online. 18 and up.
