Event Details

Celebrate the romance genre and Texas authors at the 13th Annual Romance Readers' Social. We'll meet virtually via Webex for a live author chat and sun catcher craft tutorial. Register here to receive an event link. You'll need a device with access to audio and video, or you may call in to the meeting.

Through the generous donation of the Friends of the Pflugerville Library, Guest bag with craft supplies and other goodies will be available to pick up curbside between February 8 and February 20.  Please follow instructions for curbside pick up.

When you arrive for curbside, call (512) 990-6381 and let staff know the name you registered under AND the name of the program. This is very helpful for curbside staff, who are distributing multiple kits across age groups.

Authors in attendance include:

Lorraine Heath always dreamed of being a writer. After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals and computer code, but something was always missing. When she read a romance novel, she became not only hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She's been writing about them ever since. Her work has been recognized with numerous industry awards including RWA's RITA®. Her novels have appeared on the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists.  website

Tracey Livesay’s latest release, Like Lovers Do, was named one of the 100 Best Fiction Books of 2020 by Kirkus Reviews and one of the Top 10 Romances of 2020 by Entertainment Weekly. She’s the 2020 Emma Award winner for Best Interracial Romance for Sweet Talkin’ Lover. In addition to being named to USA Today’s list of “100 Black Novelists You Should Read,” she’s been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune and on CBS This Morning. A former criminal defense attorney, Tracey lives in Virginia with her husband–who she met on the very first day of law school–and their three children. website

Sajni Patel was born in vibrant India and raised in the heart of Texas, surrounded by a lot of delicious food and plenty of diversity. She draws on her personal experiences, cultural expectations, and southern flair to create worlds that center around strong Indian women. Once in MMA, she’s now all about puppies and rainbows and tortured love stories. She currently lives in Austin where she not-so-secretly watches Mathew McConaughey from afar during UT football games. Queso is her weakness and thanks to her family’s cooking, Indian/Tex-Mex cuisine is a real thing. She’s a die-hard Marvel Comics fan, a lover of chocolates from around the world, and is always wrapped up in a story. website

Kerrelyn Sparks apparently has issues with reality.  After writing sixteen books about vampires, she has now completely gone off the deep end and wound up on another planet.  But how thrilling that she can share her magical world of the Embraced with her readers!  Although she is best known (so far) for the Love at Stake series, which has hit as high as number 5 on the New York Times list and 22 on the USA Today list, she hopes her readers will also love The Embraced series. To learn more about her paranormal, historical, and new out-of-this-world fantasy romances, please visit Kerrelyn on Facebook, Twitter, or her website at www.kerrelynsparks.com.
