Event Details

We are offering a series of workshops on different subjects related to starting/running a small business led by SCORE volunteers, the nation’s largest network of expert business mentors. In this workshop, join Chad Miller to learn about people planning.

As part of your business plan, we’ll explore the "people" strategy of your business.  What systems and practices will you implement to develop yourself, your staff, your culture? What will set you apart and benefit your customers to propel growth?

Once you’re into your business plan, let's dive into the "people" strategy of your business.  For businesses that will be hiring staff and building a team (especially growth businesses planning to build to multiple teams), your strategy and systems for attracting and retaining talented employees, engaging them, and creating a culture that fosters optimal performance will be a key to the success of your business.  How will you set yourself apart from competitors, both for your staff and for your customers?  Further, how can understanding the science of people increase the success of your marketing strategy?  We'll consider these questions and more so you'll be more prepared to make the most of your business's greatest asset--the people (both those working for you and your customers)--to propel your business to growth and long-term success.

Chad Miller loves to help others live life abundantly (experiencing increased purpose, joy and success), creating environments where leaders and their employees thrive by bringing together experience and insights from 15 years of corporate leadership for Fortune 500 companies and two masters degrees.  He helps business leaders grow revenue and profitability to 10x their business by overcoming the "people" challenges of business (turnover, lack of engagement and performance, conflict and toxic culture, stress, change management and more).
