Event Details

Book Club for tweens 8-12.
Registrants will receive a copy of the book to keep. We will begin reading the book during the meeting as well as have a discussion and/or activity related to the book.If you are unable to attend this program in person due to health concerns, email Melissa at Melissag@pflugervilletx.gov. If we have leftover supplies available after the event, we will assemble them into a kit and notify you about when it can be picked up at the library. Please note that some projects may require additional supplies or equipment that will not be provided in the kit.

Each person needs to register separately.
This program will start on time. Registrants must check in within 5 minutes of program start. After that time, stand by attendees will be admitted.
Materials will only be provided for children in the age range who register for the program.
Please cancel your registration if you are unable to attend the program.
To observe social distancing, participants will be asked to remain at the same table for the duration of the program.

Synopsis: Native families from Nations across the continent gather at the Dance for Mother Earth Powwow in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in this anthology of interlinked stories. In a high school gym full of color and song, people dance, sell beadwork and books, and celebrate friendship and heritage. young protagonists will meet relatives from far away, shadowy spirits, and sometimes one another (plus one scrappy rez dog). They are the heroes of their own stories.
